We live in a Cafe society
Cafes have sprung up everywhere, almost replacing the traditional English pub as the focal point for social gathering in this country.
Café is a wonderful acronym for the key to a happy life. C = contribution. We should all be contributing in some way to the world in which we live. It may be a contribution of your time or your money, or you may just contribute to someone else’s happiness by a simple smile, or showing them you care. If you make some contribution to the world each day, you’ll sleep easy! A – achievement. It is in our nature to want to achieve. Nothing beats a sense of achievement for producing that feel-good factor. Some of the frustration that haunts people as they get older is that they stop achieving things. F – fun. There’s no point contributing and achieving unless you’re having some fun in your life. A good giggle or laugh with friends is a wonderful de-stresser and gets the endorphins (feel-good chemicals) running round your body. E – excitement. As we age we stop getting excited about things. Just think of a small child or even a teenager – they get excited at the simplest of things, like their favourite spread on their toast for breakfast or a new release by their favourite artist, or even their football team winning. If there’s nothing in your life to get excited about, then it’s time to make some changes. You might want to take up some new hobbies, meet some new people, update your wardrobe, start listening to music again, start exercising, do some charity work or get involved in your local community. Remember the things you used to get excited about when you were younger and rekindle that excitement Contribute Achieve Fun Excitement |
