NLP Life Coaching Case Studies
Pampas1. Lucy had a troubled past and was frustrated by her future. We helped her put her past behind her (where it truly belongs) and ‘walk’ through her future so that she could see her real potential. We helped her deal with panic attacks with the use of hypnotic therapy. We used NLP techniques to ‘anchor’ certain good feelings, so that she can spend each day feeling positive and self-motivated.

2. Susan is an elderly lady who has increasingly been suffering from asthma, depression and lack of energy, partly because her husband is very ill. She increasingly lacked the self-confidence to go anywhere or do anything. With simple trance relaxation she now has so much energy, has taken up several new hobbies, which have resulted in her meeting people and awakes each day feeling positive and energetic.

3. Meg has a very demanding physical job and appears to the outside world to be totally fearless. However, she harboured a fear of heights, which she wanted to overcome. In just 1 hypnotic therapy session this was achieved!

4. Kate is a lady in her mid-twenties who has always lacked self-confidence. She found herself at a stage in her life where she worries what the future holds and doesn’t know how she can become self-motivated to ‘live the dream life’ she sees in her mind. Using NLP techniques we helped her see a real vision of her future and with hypnotic therapy have given her the self-confidence, self-belief and motivation to build a more exciting future for herself.

5. Pat has struggled with her weight for most of her life. During our first session it became apparent to us both that the images she sees in her mind always resemble old sepia photographs. This was a shock revelation to her. Under hypnosis she was eventually able to see images of her future in very bright colours, but this was a very emotional experience. She is having to work hard to see images of herself as she would like to be in the future, but this process alone is helping her to move towards the future she really wants and subsequently lose weight.

6. Caroline had lost her self-confidence and motivation and felt that she was no longer in control of her own life. During our session she realised that she had some ‘unfinished business’ in her past, that was contributing significantly to her current situation. I helped her put her past behind her, introduced a sense of calm and well-being into her everyday life and then through restoring her self-confidence and motivation helped her find a new direction for her future. By focussing on her future plans with energy and enthusiasm, her other ‘problems’ have just disappeared e.g tendencies towards OCD.

7. In our session Rebecca realised that the reason she was lacking focus, direction and motivation, is that she has ‘parked’ her dreams in her past, and with that her ability to visualise. She makes few plans, imagines very little and just plods very calmly through life, feeling a total sense boredom. At the start of the session she struggled to even visualise what she would be doing the following day. By the end of the session she had begun to imagine the future she clearly wants mapped out in front of her, with the knowledge of the steps she needs to take to achieve it and the newly-found passion to make things happen.

8. Alison suffered a terrible tragedy a few years ago, that has haunted her family ever since. After our first session she was able to put events out of her mind for the first time. That enabled her to focus on her present and channel her energy into herself and her family. She felt like a different person and as if a huge cloud had been lifted. After just 2 more brief sessions she has been able to move forwards with her life, in ways she never thought would be possible.

9. Maria tends to panic about things and after failing her driving test twice, came to me for help, in preparation for her test. In the first session we focussed on techniques to help her stay calm and in control at all times. In the second, we discussed the best colours for her to wear to give her a sense of both calm and confidence. I then taught her, under hypnosis, the techniques for doing a mental rehearsal of her driving test. She passed!

10. Elizabeth has panic attacks, sometimes resulting in her being hospitalised. Under hypnosis I have planted ‘calm anchors’ that she can call upon when she starts to sense panic, thus avoiding future attacks. We have also banned use of the words ‘panic attack’ as that in itself is a very negative expression!

11.We ran a 4 hour session in time management for a team of European managers – in itself an interesting time management challenge! By using NLP we produced amazing results and people were able to improve their time management immediately without extensive use of stress-inducing forms & lists!

12.Rosie had bitten her nails all her life and tried all the different remedies available. She mainly chewed and picked her nails out of boredom, but would do it any time, any place! She was worried that if she stopped, she might take up eating as an alternative and so put on weight. In a one hour session, hypnotising her several times, I gave her an alternative counting exercise to do with her fingers and made her visualise the beautiful nails she had always wanted and never had. She hasn't bitten her nails since, nor has she acquired any other alternative undesirable habits!
